Big steps, little steps

Happy one year anniversary to our site! In this past year we have seen our little community grow - it is wonderful to connect with families who understand!

Perhaps the biggest change that the past year has brought is that we are starting to see the CLTC gene being added to more and more genetic testing panels, especially for epilepsy and autism. This will allow more people to have a shortened diagnostic oddesy, as well as helping people to get to the specialists they need sooner. Many of the people who have been diagnosed up to this point have had to go through whole exome sequencing, so the possibility of getting the relevant information faster through a specific panel is very exciting stuff!
